Sam Hankins and David McLorren release Rejoice, a new smooth jazz Christmas EP

Legendary smooth jazz trumpet player Sam Hankins and award-winning producer and multi-instrumentalist David McLorren get into the Christmas spirit with Rejoice. The new EP has 3 Christmas tracks, just in time for the holidays.

This new smooth jazz Christmas EP features three well-known Christmas classics, namely: “Joy to the World”, “Oh Come All Ye Faithful” and “We Three Kings”. Just in time to provide us with some Christmas cheer and joy, Sam Hankins and David McLorren have officially released the Rejoice Smooth Christmas EP, whose three tracks were also featured in a 2015 Christmas project of theirs, called Joyous Celebration. The project included all the previously mentioned songs, as well as some other Christmas classics, like “Jingle Bells” and “We Wish You a Merry Christmas”.

The EP combines the well-known ethereal sounds from David McLorren with Sam Hankins signature smooth jazz trumpet runs. If you ever wanted to hear some great smooth jazz during the Christmas holidays, this is the album for you.

Sam thought this was the perfect time to reconnect with his listeners by spreading some joy, as so many have been affected by the 2020 pandemic. In coordination with this initiative, Sam will be releasing a video of “Oh Come Ye Faithful” on YouTube as well as the Christmas EP, which will be available on all digital platforms.

Sam Hankins is a renowned Jazz musician and writer. He has played with many famous artists, who have left their stunning legacy to the history of music. Some of them are Al Jarreau, Clark Terry, The O’Jays, The Temptations, The Dells, The Impressions, Aretha Franklin, and the Glenn Miller Big Band. Sam hopes that all his fans around the world will always be able to listen to his music and have a good time while doing so.

Texas-based artist David McLorren has also made his important contribution to jazz, reggae, R&B and pop music. The fact that he can adapt to all those musical genres, as well as his most appreciated skills as a multi-instrumentalist, are certainly fundamental to his success, and to his many collaborations with Hankins.

After this incredibly difficult year, we cannot help but thank both of them artists for their amazing work on those wonderful Christmas evergreens. \
